Stamp What You Love!

In the past year or so I’ve started riding my bike again – my very, very, very old bike.   And I love it!   My dad gave my bike to me on my 16th birthday – in 1979.   But the old girl still rides like the wind (OK, maybe just a soft breeze).   What do you love to do?   I bet there’s a stamp for that!  Check out – if you can’t find it email me at and ask – maybe it’s something I need to add!

The card above was created by Birgit Edblom using our Life is Like Riding Cling Set.  The card below was created by Karen Amidon using our Tandem Bicycle Cling Set, Party Balloons Reverse Die and It’s a Special Day $1 stamp.   And below that is a photo of my bike!

Do you love shells?

FREE SHIPPING – Good through Sunday 7/24 – All US orders $25 or more!

I love sea shells!   They are a rare and beautiful treat (if you live in Missouri – sea shells are rare).   Our current Serendipity Stamps Challenge is “Just Add Water” – for some that might instantly make you think “watercolor”.   But it can mean all sorts of things – boats, fish, sprinklers, and of course, shells!   When I saw the card Miriam made for our hop yesterday it brought back lots of memories – not just of the sea, but also of my very first rubber stamping experience!   How many of you got hooked on stamping when you saw embossing for the first time?   And how many of you haven’t touched your heat gun in ages?   This card immediately had me digging out my gold EP and my heat gun!   Miriam used our Sea Shells Cling set for the front of her card.   Then she added our Dream die for the inside.

Want to enter your card right now?   Just click here!

Brighten Someone’s Day!

Make a Wish Lori Craig

I can’t look at a sunflower without smiling!   They just make me happy!   And this cheerful card from Lori Craig does exactly that too.   Yesterday I introduced you to Lori and showed off her work with the Uplifting Words sentiments she designed for Serendipity Stamps.   Today Lori is pulling out all the stops with her Kansas Girl roots.   She used our Sunflower Dies and the Make A Wish stamp set (which she also designed!).   Be sure to visit Lori’s blog to see exactly how she created this fun card!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for our monthly blog hop.   Our theme this month is Believe, Create, Imagine, Dream.

Uplifting Cards!

lofty dreams 1 lori craig

Can you imagine a card more uplifting than this one?   The bright colors.  The up, up, and away beautiful balloon.  The inspiring sentiment.   This card is bound to bring a smile to the one opening the envelope.   This week I’m introducing you to Lori Craig – my friend, fellow midwesterner, and one of Serendipity Stamps image designers.   Lori created our newest stamp sets Meow Mix and Uplifting Words.   She used one of the Uplifting Words and our Hot Air Balloons die on her card above.  Here’s Lori in her own words:

My name is Lori Craig. I have been a lover of paper for as long as I can remember… seriously first grade and rainbow Crayola markers were a game-changer!  I have been paper crafting since 1998, and I love everything about this hobby! The creativity, the products, the people and the community!
I spend most of my day-to-day time in a marketing role at Splitcoaststampers, where I’ve been the advertising manager since 2007. Splitcoast is a paper crafting home where I’ve made many of my closest friends through the years, and I’m continually inspired to try new things. It is through my work at Splitcoast that I met Mary and realized that we are both midwestern women who love rubber, ink and share a passion for running. I also have ample opportunity to meet a lot of other paper-lovers when I travel around the country teaching certification and workshop classes for Copic Marker. I consider my career in paper crafting to be one of my greatest blessings.
When Mary asked me about the possibility of working on a few sentiment stamps to accompany other images in her collection, I was humbled and nervous, but I did decide to give it a go. I am so appreciative of her asking me to work with her, and I hope you enjoy the result of our collaboration. I know I sure have!
Be sure to visit Lori’s blog to see exactly how she created these beautiful cards!

Cards to Encourage (Creativity!)

More examples of cards for our July theme: Believe, Create, Imagine, and Dream.   Each month we focus on a type of card that’s good to have on hand to send at a moment’s notice.   We all know to have Birthday or Sympathy cards on hand, but it’s good to have inspirational cards in your stash too.   A card to send that niece or nephew who’s struggling with a new career, or for a friend who’s in a rut, or just to encourage someone to have a beautiful day!

These cards also work for our Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog theme of “Just Add Water”.   Have you entered our challenge yet?   Create a card that includes a Serendipity image, and something related to water in the technique or in the image you use.   Our Designers will peek in at your card and let you know what they love about it.   You could win our next random drawing for a $20 Gift Certificate!

On the card above, Marybeth Lopez used our Creative Die Set and our Paint Brush stamp on her beautifully CAS card.   Love those colors!

On the card below, Julie Warner used our Floral Alphabet, A-Amaryllis stamp, Believe Stamp Set, Ornament Pops Stamp Set, Paint Brush, and Create Die on her stunning card.

Cards to inspire

This month Serendipity Stamps is focusing on the Card Theme:  Believe, Create, Dream, Imagine.   Cards to have in your stash to send to someone who needs a bit of encouragement, inspiration, or hope.   Here is a beautiful one created by Melanie Deasy who used our Dream Die.

This card also fits in perfectly with July’s Challenge – Just Add Water.   You still have lots of time to enter a card that includes an SS image AND includes some form of water – maybe it’s water colored – or maybe you’ve used a quote about the Sea or an image of a boat.   The options are endless!   Don’t be shy!   You could win our random drawing for a $20 Gift Certificate!

Our Phone Woes

So.   Two weeks ago the Serendipity Stamps phone line stopped working.   It’s a long story…   Now, it’s up an running, but the voicemail is one of those generic Voice Male voices.   Go ahead and leave your message – it really is Serendipity Stamps!   But, if you don’t hear back from me in a day or two, please call again – no telling what will happen next with this phone line!  By the way, our phone number is still 816-532-0740!

Yard Sale

We still have lots and lots of stamp sets and grab bags left in our Yard Sale!   I’m talking a bag of over 50 stamps of all sizes for just $10!   Or how about a set of 7 mounted Coffee Themed stamps – brand new – for just $5!   Plus much much more!

Note:   Many of the grab bags are unmounted stamps with “velcro” loop tape on the back (the HALOS system).   This can be removed easily after warming the stamps for a few seconds in the microwave.

I LOVE a good yard sale (garage sale, estate sale, flea market – you name it!).  The Serendipity Stamps Yard Sale is chock full of “new” items.   Giant Grab Bags of unmounted stamps, unused sets of stamps, designer paper, Box Makers and the list goes on and on.   Check it out – bargains galore!  Most items are 1 of a kind so don’t miss out!

Just Add Water!
There’s nothing that says summer like a kid running through a sprinkler!   During the month of July get our Sprinkler stamp half off!  DT member Miriam Napier made this sweet card.   I love how she left the water “clear”.   Miriam also used the Summer from our Spring Summer Autumn Winter set.

Our July Challenge ties in perfectly with this image – Just Add Water!   Create a card using a technique that requires water (watercolor, spritz, etc) and be sure it includes a Serendipity Stamps image.   Submit it to the Serendipity Stamps Challenge blog this month and you could win our random drawing for a $20 Gift Certificate to use at!  Head on over to the SSCB right now to see our Design Team’s “Just Add Water” designs today!
