This month’s Serendipity Stamps Challenge is “Thankful”.   Today, our Design Team is showing projects that indicate Thanks AND that include items that have been re-purposed.   I LOVE re-purposing things!   I just finished sanding a waxing a wooden “yoke” that I will use as a towel bar.   I have a giant box full of sweaters from the thrift store that I unravel for the yarn to knit new things.  I have a box full of old books with interesting covers that I will disassemble and re-make into blank journals.   So much re-purposing to do – so little time!

These coasters were made from marble tiles that I picked up at a Habitat ReStore (a store full of donated “home improvement” items – profits go to Habitat for Humanity).   One of the DT’s challenges was to create coasters from these tiles.   A perfect “Thank you” gift for the hostess of the next party you attend!  DT Alumni Lynda Benden used our Geese stamp to create the coaster above.  Jenny Gropp used the Maple With Quote stamp to create the “coaster” below (though she’s added a ribbon to hers so it can be hung for display.

Now – head over to the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog to see what the DT created!  Then create your own project of Thankfulness and submit it!

This month’s challenge at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog is “Thankful”.    You could make a Thanksgiving card, a Thank You card, or a card that shows something for which you are thankful.   Submit it by December 1st and you’ll be eligible to win our blog badge or a $20 Gift Code to use at

I made the card above this past Saturday.   It was a day filled with errands and scheduled activities.   But the night before, the weather forcasters were going on and on about a big snowstorm that was to hit us Saturday.   So, even though we only got an inch or so of snow, I ended up with almost the whole day to myself!   Yes, I could have cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the living room and scrubbed the kitchen sink, but instead, I chose to Rest, Relax, and Enjoy My Day with this adorable Baby Snowman!   A decision for which I am very THANKFUL!
