Respect The Geranium!

If you go look at the pots of flowers on your front porch, chances are there’s a perky bright geranium holding her head up high despite the fact that you haven’t watered her for a couple of days!  I’ll admit, I used to turn my nose up at geraniums.   They don’t smell good – in fact they smell kinda bad.   For a long time they only came in boring old red.   And to top it off, that’s about all my mom ever had on her front porch – so why would I want pots of geraniums on mine?   Well, as usual, we end up learning that Mom knows best.   Go give your geranium a drink, clean her up a little and thank her for always being there for you.

DT member Vickie Zimmerman created this gorgeous card last week for our Twine Challenge.   Each time I look at it I admire it just a bit more – just like my geraniums – see the twine in the center of the flowers?   And how she tucked her Thinking of You banner into the fussy cut leaves that she’s colored so beautifully?  And then she’s framed it all with our Floral Frame die which has very geranium-like flowers silhouetted in it.   Great card Vickie!

I’ve added lots of $1 and $2 cling stamps throughout   You’ll find one in the related items listed under each die.   Get ’em while they last!   The Thinking Of You stamp used above is one!   Be sure to hop over to the SS Challenge Blog to see the other Twine creations and then enter your own for a chance to win a sampler pack from The Twinery!

Absolutely gorgeous! The coloring is beautiful and the use of the die to frame your flowers is stunning.
