Coneflowers – and a butterfly

I love coneflowers!   They are a native prairie flower and can withstand pretty much everything.   I have a little garden that’s full of perennials.   After last years’ drought the only think still hanging on to life was the coneflower.   This year I gave it some company – more natives – black-eyed susans, Cardinal Flowers, Yellow Coneflowers, and Coreopsis.  Coneflowers are typically pink – like the one you see in the photo – but they come in a variety of other colors.   Plus, it’s your design!   Color it whatever suits your fancy!  Then enter it into the SSCB Butterfly Challenge for your chance to win $20 off your next order.
