Shake It Up!

I’ve sent out loads of our shaker boxes in the last month (yup – you can still get a free one with any order!).   Now – it’s time to show off your shaker!   Yes – it’s true that our little shaker box is simply a small clam-shell box – but that’s what I love so much about paper crafters – we can take just about anything and make it look great on a card!   Shaving cream – check.   Kleenex box – gorgeous!   Toilet paper roll – yup done that!

Shaker Box Card Contest

Email a photo, or a link of your posted photo – of the shaker card you created with your Serendipity Stamps Shaker box – to serendipity@serendipitystamps.com.   Send it by March 31st and you’ll have a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to use at www.serendipitystamps.com.    I’ll post the entries and the winner right here on Monday April 3rd!

To be eligible, your shaker MUST be made with a Serendipity Stamps Shaker Box.   Extra kudos if you  send an additional photo that shows your unfinished card with your shaker box “exposed” for us to see how you assembled your card!

Jeanne’s card shown at the top was made with our Poinsettia and Leaf Solid and Happy Holidays ($2 Cling Sale) stamps.  Marybeth’s card below was created with our Mailbox With Hearts Cling Set.

Anyone else have this song running through your head when you read the title of this blog post?   I know, I know – I’m showing my age….

I love the SS Design Team hops!   They provide such a great variety of themes and techniques, giving us ideas for the next couple of holidays on the calendar as well as inspiration for every day cards you might need to add to your stash.   Then there are those “Aha!” cards that show off ways to use new stamps or dies (like Marybeth’s adorable card above) and those “Wow!” cards that show off ways to use our Stamp of the Month (like Julie’s “fit for framing” card below).   On the card above, Marybeth used our new Swirl Cuts Background Die and our Bunny With Carrot stamp.  A super quick card with lots of texture and loads of cute!  On the card below, Julie used our Marble Waves Background Stamp (50% during March) along with our Three Ducks stamp and the Spring Die from our new set of Seasons dies.

Did you see DT member Karen Amidon’s card?   Be sure to check out her post to see the clever way she created this beautiful green ombre.   Karen used our Happy St. Patty’s Day stamp.   Check out the deal on this set that includes this stamp plus our Top O’ the Mornin’ stamp and our Shamrock die.

Mega Mini Grab Bag – Only 2 available!

I had a pile of small (and not so small) cling stamps on my cutting table and counted out 65 different stamps – voila!   The Mega Mini Grab Bag – 65 different stamps, all mounted on cling cushion, ready to use on your acrylic blocks.   That’s less than 10 cents a stamp!   But act quick – I only put together 2 grab bags and once they’re gone they’re gone.  The stamps in the grab bag may be different from those pictured here.

Blog Hop Winner! Sweet!

Congratulations to the randomly chosen winner of our blog hop – Geri!  Geri, contact me at serendipity@serendipitystamps.com to find out how to claim your $20 Gift Certificate to use at www.serendipitystamps.com.

This is the time of year when I love to hide out in my craft room.   In addition to Valentine cards, I’m workingon a stash of cards that I’ll need on a moments notice.   Baby Cards, Welcome Cards, Thank You Cards, Birthday Cards, etc.   Here is a collection from our Design Team – all created with our Sweet Die.  On the card above, DT Alumni Jeanne Jachna used our Floral Heart Large, our Happy Valentines Day II (in our $ Sale!) and the Sweet Die.  On the card below, Vickie Zimmer used our Lamb With Heart stamp and our Sweet die.

The card below was created by Marybeth Lopez using our Cottage stamp, My Die, and Sweet Die.   Leave the “My” off and you have a perfect way to introduct yourself to new family on your block!

The card below if from Patti Kehl.   It would make a great Thank You or Valentines card!  Patti used our Candy Jar stamp and our Sweet Die.

I couldn’t resist adding another Baby Card – this one from Jenny Gropp – who used our Floral Frame Die (new reduced price!), Little Critters Dies, Baby Die, and Sweet Die.

And last, but not least we have a card that would make a wonderful Birthday Card but one that would also make a great party invitation, thank you, or congratulations card!   Patti Kehl created this CAS card using our Lemonade Pitcher and our Sweet Die.

DT member Marybeth Lopez created these wonderfully elegant little thank you cards.   This is the time of year for it.   It’s never too late to send a thank you to the hostess of the party you went to in mid-december, or to the friend who took care of your cat while you were out of town, or to the friend who meets you to run every other morning.   I love how Marybeth’s pretty, intricate die cut edges and the small flourished Thank You mirror the curves and detail of the Victorian Hearts!  Wouldn’t these make a pretty set to give someone as a gift?

Time to Create!

The Christmas Cards are all in the mail (some of you may be saying “Duhhhh!” but my cards just went out yesterday 🙁  You’re slowly packing away the wrapping paper, boxes, bags and bows.   The Christmas decoration boxes are coming up again from the basement.   It’s time re-group.  Time to do for you.   Craft for you.  Create for you.  What do you love to make, feel, smell, see?   Paper – yes or you wouldn’t be reading this blog.   But I bet there are other things….yarn, paint, fabric and thread, seeds, dirt, dough, poetry, history, trails, woods …What do you want to do more of in 2017 just for you?   Let’s not call these resolutions – maybe just little promises to yourself.   Here are mine – feel free to comment with your own – I’d love to see what everyone hopes to do.

Knit a fair isle pattern, complete a century ride, visit my friend in Maine…
