Serendipty Stamps and The Twinery Blog Hop!

SSTWINERYHOP

Hello Serendipity Stamps friends!  Today we are joining with The Twinery To bring you a blog hop featuring the Serendipity Stamps images you love and beautiful colored twine.

Have you tried Twinery twine yet?     You will love all the different colors they offer – striped, solid, and even metallic!  Their twine is made from 100% cotton (and some twine is twisted with gorgeous metallic string!) and made in the USA. Whether you’re gift wrapping, crafting or tying up baked goods to give to a friend, their baker’s twine adds a fresh, yet nostalgic look to any project at hand! Their baker’s twine comes in an assorted array of delicious colors and is uniquely twisted against a bright white hue, creating an eye-popping burst of color and a creative embellishment! Their twine has lots of color which lends to a fun, candy-striped look.  Be sure to stop by their store – you won’t believe all the amazing colors and varieties of twine!

For the next three days (July 28-30) designers from Serendipity Stamps and The Twinery are ready to share some beautiful projects with you.    Make sure you visit and comment on each blog and you will be entered to win a $25 gift certificate from Serendipity Stamps.  The deadline for entering your comments is August 3rd.   We’ll announce the winner of the Serendipity Stamps prize on Monday August 4th.  The Twinery is offering a great prize too – you can find out more on their blog.

Respect The Geranium!

1112geraniumvickiezimmer

If you go look at the pots of flowers on your front porch, chances are there’s a perky bright geranium holding her head up high despite the fact that you haven’t watered her for a couple of days!  I’ll admit, I used to turn my nose up at geraniums.   They don’t smell good – in fact they smell kinda bad.   For a long time they only came in boring old red.   And to top it off, that’s about all my mom ever had on her front porch – so why would I want pots of geraniums on mine?   Well, as usual, we end up learning that Mom knows best.   Go give your geranium a drink, clean her up a little and thank her for always being there for you.

DT member Vickie Zimmerman created this gorgeous card last week for our Twine Challenge.   Each time I look at it I admire it just a bit more – just like my geraniums – see the twine in the center of the flowers?   And how she tucked her Thinking of You banner into the fussy cut leaves that she’s colored so beautifully?  And then she’s framed it all with our Floral Frame die which has very geranium-like flowers silhouetted in it.   Great card Vickie!

I’ve added lots of $1 and $2 cling stamps throughout www.serendipitystamps.com.   You’ll find one in the related items listed under each die.   Get ‘em while they last!   The Thinking Of You stamp used above is one!   Be sure to hop over to the SS Challenge Blog to see the other Twine creations and then enter your own for a chance to win a sampler pack from The Twinery!

July Is Twine Month!

2011021470

The theme over at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog is Twine this month!    You can make it as easy as gluing a piece of twine to some cardboard like I did above, or you can get really elaborate, as you’ll see in some of our DT examples.    In addition to using twine, the SSDT added some “HOT” to their designs – hot outside, hot colors, what’s hot and trendy….

I wanted my card to look like someone had just dropped a rope over a wall.   I embossed Drop A Line Vertical onto chipboard.  The twine is Charcoal Stripe from The Twinery.  I love how the black and white really pop!

We have lots of items on clearance right now making room for our new fall/winter release!

50% Off Wood Sale

Clearance Sale

$.25 – $2 Stamp sale - if it’s $1 or $2 it will be on cling cushion, if it’s .25 it will be UM.
