September Challenge – Autumn!

We have a new challenge over at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.   Simply make an Autumn themed card that includes a Serendipity Stamps image.   Enter it by Nov 5th and you could win our random drawing for a $20 Gift Code to use at www.serendipitystamps.com or you could win our blog badge to post on your blog!

The Serendipity Stamps DT was challenged to make Autumn Cards that included a design element created with glue.   I made the card you see here using the Heated Pearls tutorial from www.splitcoaststampers.com.  I used our Oak Leaf Scroll and Oak Leaf Outline dies to create the leaves from my heated glue and pearlex faux marble.   I added our With Sympathy Large image at the bottom.   (sorry – I got a bit sloppy with the EP – I was watching the Royals playoff game at the same time – go Royals!)  This was a fun technique and I ended up with a variety of “marbled” pieces that you’ll see in the future.

One More Summer Card

032sunflowerdiemarybright

I was cleaning out my flower garden and came across a few hardy souls still hanging on and so I decided that even though it’s officially Fall, I could still make one more flower card.   I cased this card using the Serendipity Stamps Sunflower Die and the Everyday Words Horizontal stamp.

September Challenge – Summer’s Last Hurrah!

What does the end of summer mean to you?   Do you try to squeeze in a last few days of summer?   Finish  up the gardening?  Or are you ready to move on to fall?   Get the kids back to school.   Submit your “Summer’s Last Hurrah” card to the Serendipity Stamps Challenge blog by Sept 29th and you could win our blog badge or a $20 Gift Certificate to www.serendipitystamps.com

For me, the last week has meant finishing up the canning.   Grape Jam, Green Tomato relish, salsa, etc., so I thought these two cards summed it up perfectly.  The card above was made by SSDT member Miriam Napier using our Veggie Basket and Summer ($1 Cling Sale)stamps.  The card below was made by DT Alumni Anya Schrier using our Jar Label Cling Set.

Now head on over to the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog to see what our DT has put together for their end of summer cards.  Be sure to visit each DT member’s blog to see the photos and stories they used to inspire their cards.
