Serendipity Stamps’ Holiday Card Challenge!
Today we begin a new challenge at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. Make a holiday card! You’re probably making a bunch anyway right? Some of us like to make clean and simple cards like the one above (but look again – it’s clean, but not so simple is it?). Others of us like to take our time and create a little work of art like the one below. You’ll find both styles and everything in between from our Design Team on the Challenge Blog today. Head over there to see, then create your own Holiday card using at least one Serendipity Stamps image and submit it for your chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate or our Blog Badge!
On the card above SSDT member Karen Amidon used our Ornament and Joy dies to create this stunning card. Notice how she inlaid the Joy within the ornament? On the card below, Julie Warner used our Snowman with Birds, Snowflake, and Baby It’s Cold stamps to create this fun accordion card!
This month’s challenge at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog is “Thankful”. You could make a Thanksgiving card, a Thank You card, or a card that shows something for which you are thankful. Submit it by December 1st and you’ll be eligible to win our blog badge or a $20 Gift Code to use at www.serendipitystamps.com.
I made the card above this past Saturday. It was a day filled with errands and scheduled activities. But the night before, the weather forcasters were going on and on about a big snowstorm that was to hit us Saturday. So, even though we only got an inch or so of snow, I ended up with almost the whole day to myself! Yes, I could have cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the living room and scrubbed the kitchen sink, but instead, I chose to Rest, Relax, and Enjoy My Day with this adorable Baby Snowman! A decision for which I am very THANKFUL!
Wow! Was that an amazing Blog Hop or what? So many cards! And each was unique and gorgeous! If you missed it, scroll down to see the hop list and check it out.

ALL of the cards in the hop were just fabulous, but I’m showing off Karen Amidon’s today because I love how Karen always creates beautiful insides for her cards! Karen used the Ornament Pops Outline set on the front of her card and the Wishing You stamp and Joy die on the inside. The Wishing You stamp is on our $1 Cling sale and is a great add-on for many word dies – Love, Peace, Snow! Remember, scroll down for a blog hop list!

Christmas often makes us think of trains. When I was growing up we had a little train track that went around the Christmas Tree. There’s the Polar Express and that great scene in the movie White Christmas where Bing and the gang sing “Snow” as they head to Vermont. Serendipity Stamps has 3 wonderful train images – Train Engine Large and Train Engine Small and the Train on Track that DT Alumni Sue Eldred used to create this Christmas Card. Below you’ll see a gallery of train cards. Just tweek the color and sentiment and you’ll have wonderful train-themed Christmas cards.
I had to throw in this photo of my daughter boarding the Missorui River Runner – the Amtrak train that runs between St. Louis and Kansas City. She and I take it regularly to visit each other – much better than driving I-70! If you have an Amtrak train that runs near you give it a try!
This week’s Serendipity Stamps Design Team Challenge was to create a project using a winter holiday photo as inspiration. It’s always so fun to see how each designer interprets the photo! Check out each and every blog to get a lot of great ideas for your Holiday cards! Then head over to www.serendipitystamps.com and take advantage of our Buy 3, Get a 4th One Free special! Here are links to each designer’s blog. Be sure to leave them comments so they know how much you love their work!
The weather is turning and the hummingbirds and goldfinches have been replaced by the Snowbird and the Titmouse. They aren’t very colorful but they make up for that in chattiness! Below are several cards made over the years using these two stamps. Send us your snowbird and titmouse cards!
Serendipity Stamps Design Team Member Jenny Gropp has posted a tutorial on her blog that shows you, step by step, how to make this beautiful card using our new Ornament Die and Stamp Set. Be sure to visit and let her know what you think. Then head over to www.serendipitystamps.com and take advantage of our Buy 3 Get The 4th Free special!
