Christmas Trains

Christmas often makes us think of trains.   When I was growing up we had a little train track that went around the Christmas Tree.   There’s the Polar Express and that great scene in the movie White Christmas where Bing and the gang sing “Snow” as they head to Vermont.   Serendipity Stamps has 3 wonderful train images – Train Engine Large and  Train Engine Small and the Train on Track that  DT Alumni Sue Eldred used to create this Christmas Card.   Below you’ll see a gallery of train cards.   Just tweek the color and sentiment and you’ll have wonderful train-themed Christmas cards.

I had to throw in this photo of my daughter boarding the Missorui River Runner – the Amtrak train that runs between St. Louis and Kansas City.   She and I take it regularly to visit each other – much better than driving I-70!   If you have an Amtrak train that runs near you give it a try!

Harvest Time

Even though I live about 10 miles from the Kansas border, I don’t see a lot of wheat in the fields around here.    We’re more of a corn and bean county.   But our Wheat Sheaf rubber stamp sure see’s a lot of action this time of year!   Just take a look at what folks are doing with it.  The card above was created by DT Member Sue Eldred.   Below is a gallery of cards from Holly Craft, Jeanne Jachna, Carolyn Hurst, Lori Craig, and Helen Berry.   Send us your Wheat Sheaf project!
